Future Projects

OK, so, things are starting to come together. I managed to secure a warehouse position through my temp hiring service. It’s for a shoe store corporation. It seems like the work will be light and reasonable. I basically just made boxes for an 8-hour shift. It’s also a second shift position, from 3:30pm to midnight on Monday through Friday, with occasional mandatory overtime on Saturday. For $15 an hour, this is quite reasonable. I was stuck in factory positions for about 8 years of my life, so this style of warehouse work is far easier on me.

I’m also working with my state’s work force development board for career readiness. As an eligible veteran, I get quick access to ongoing assistance. My second shift position is completely consistent with career readiness development, due to a lack of schedule interference. I will keep the blog updated on my progress for this. The first recommendation was adding to my certifications. I have three major active certifications: CompTIA Project+, AWS Cloud Practitioner, and AWS Solutions Architect associate level.

The first set of ongoing updates will come from my career readiness development. The second set will be from my attempts to maintain my AWS certs. My CompTIA cert is good-for-life. If CompTIA decides to change this, I’ll likely get grandfathered into the new system with my good-for-life Project+ cert, and it will remain good-for-life. The AWS certs require re-taking the certification exams. I need to take courses, read white papers, and work on projects to stay sharp and to be prepared. I will provide updates on this.

The third source of updates will be on data analysis projects. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the 2000’s, and an Applied Associate’s Degree in Data Analysis from the 2020’s. My recent training in the US Navy as an Electronics Technician has given me a technical certification as an Electronics Technician. The US Navy was a detour from data analysis and database work. I am going to return to this, with projects.

The fourth source of updates will be on gender transition. I already have a free consultation for laser hair removal on Saturday. I plan on contacting sources for HRT in the near future, which includes the VA. I need to contact them for updates on my future VA coverage. I’ve submitted multiple VA disability claims ages ago, and I’ve had the C&P assessments for future VA coverage. Plus, I submitted an application for VA coverage in March. The VA can provide resources for a gender transition, provided that I can get coverage.

My final update is that diapers are definitely an effective way to manage incontinence. I went on a one-hour walk around my neighborhood, while in a “risky” or “primed” state after recent hydration and some caffeine exposure. I definitely needed the safety net that my Abena L4 with the LivDry booster provided.

I… probably need to update my setup for immediately available incontinence supplies. It seems a bit lazy to let my supplies take up my mattress’ real estate. Anyway, as for my second day at work for my recent gig, I’m going to repeat yesterday’s combo: LittleForBig Goth Brat print (size large) and a LivDry booster.

I was able to get my pack of the Goth Brat print for about 91 cents. I wanted to get a pack of Trest diapers, for the absorbency, but I couldn’t get a discount on shipping, which was around $20. I figured that I might as well use the discount that I had obtained with a bit of style, if I couldn’t get the Trest diapers fully discounted.
