What’s the most underrated movie you’ve ever watched?
I don’t have a deep response. Just a casual response.
Underworld is possibly the most underrated movie that I’ve watched. The edgy 2003 film about vampires vs lycan (i.e., werewolves).
My reasoning is that the movie didn’t get great reviews, but it has gained a cult following. A friend of a sibling would like to say that the movie gets better each time it gets watched. I’m inclined to agree.
The storytelling is loaded with detail, and the details are presented at a fast pace. Watching it multiple times gives you a chance to actually appreciate what’s happening and to get a fuller understanding of everything.
It’s sort of like the Architect’s scene with Neo in The Matrix: Reloaded. Once you start to comprehend everything and appreciate all of the moving parts, it can get really good, but comprehension probably relies on at least a single re-watch.
