The Lost Videogame

What was your first ever videogame?

I honestly don’t recall the exact first videogame that I ever played.  I’d have to use a lot of inductive reasoning with my personal memories to make an educated guess.  I know that I got a Sega Genesis/Mega Drive as my first system back when I was seven or so.  It was bundled with Sonic 2.

However, I probably did play several games before Sonic 2.  My father regularly used computers, so my family had access to his computers.  I know that I did play games with these computers.  Quite a few were DOS games, which were accessed to switching to MS-DOS mode.  There was also classic Prince of Persia.  There was a Sesame Street game, but I don’t recall if it ever worked properly.

The MS-DOS games were probably bundled with that version of Microsoft Windows, way back when Windows still had MS-DOS mode.  I recall entering MS-DOS mode then typing in the names of the games.  I think the main two games that I played were Balloons and Gorillas.

I am obviously the most mature human being in all of existence.
